
Rice with Soybeans
A simple and nutritious Japanese dish featuring rice cooked with soybeans.

Ingredients
- Rice: 3 cups (uncooked)
- Boiled soybeans: 80g (2.8 oz)
- Sake (Japanese rice wine): 2 teaspoons
- Salt koji powder with dashi (a Japanese seasoning powder that includes fermented rice and soup stock): 1 small packet

Preparation
- Rinse the rice and let it soak for 30 minutes before cooking.
- In a rice cooker, combine the rice with the appropriate amount of water for 3 cups of rice. Add the boiled soybeans, sake, and salt koji powder. Stir gently and start the rice cooker.
Notes
If salt koji powder is unavailable, you can substitute with a mix of salt and a small amount of dashi powder.
